Multiple Italian sources, including Gazzetta, claim that the Belgian winger is in doubt for next Sunday’s Serie A match against Roma at the Stadio Olimpico.

Saelemaekers was forced to be subbed off during yesterday’s 1-0 win against Lecce, and if he won’t recover for the game against his former club, Massimiliano Allegri will likely look to Zachary Athekame or Ruben Loftus-Cheek on the right wing.

Saelemaekers returned to Milan last summer after a one-season loan spell at Roma.

The Belgian has been a regular starter at Milan this term, scoring two goals and providing five assists in 25 appearances across all competitions.

Saelemaekers has recently extended his contract with Milan until June 2031.
