Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur are tracking West Ham talisman Jarrod Bowen. The West Ham skipper signed a seven-year extension in 2023 to tie him to the club until 2030, and has been an influential figure at the London Stadium.
While West Ham will be reluctant to part ways with their star forward, Football Insider has reported that the Hammers would be prepared to let him go if they receive an “irresistible” offer. Bowen has scored three goals and provided one assist in 11 Premier League games for West Ham.
He has remained the one bright spot in a difficult campaign for the Hammers, who sit 18th in the table. They will be encouraged by recent results though, after two consecutive victories sees them just one point away from safety.
Liverpool are in the market for a long term replacement for Mohamed Salah. The Egyptian has suffered from a dip in form this season and continues to be linked to a lucrative move to Saudi Arabia.
Tottenham signed Mohammed Kudus from West Ham over the summer in a marquee £55m deal. Prizing Bowen as well would take quite some doing.
Bowen is understood be committed to West Ham and not agitating for a move away. West Ham’s form leading up to January could however play a factor in the player’s thinking.
With the world Cup approaching this summer, Football Insider has suggested that Bowen might be tempted by a club playing Champions League football. Although Bowen has consistently received the call up from England boss Thomas Tuchel, he will know that the second half of the season will be crucial to cementing his place in the squad for next summer.
Joining a team competing for major honours this season could help Bowen fend off competition for places in the squad. Bowen is currently with the England squad who face Serbia and Albania in their final World Cup Qualifiers.
