Sky Sport Italia reports that Valentin Castellanos arrived at Lazio’s training ground on Friday, but just to say goodbye to his teammates and clear out his locker ahead of his move to West Ham.
Lazio striker Castellanos is ready to fly to London to undergo medical tests and sign his contract as a new West Ham player.
The Hammers have reached an agreement to sign the Argentine for €30m, and the Lazio striker said goodbye to his teammates and emptied his locker on Friday morning, according to Sky Sport Italia.
The deal will be confirmed by the two clubs in the coming hours, and, naturally, Castellanos won’t be available for Sunday’s Serie A match against Napoli.
With Boulaye Dia away on international duty with Senegal for AFCON, Tijjani Noslin will be the only available centre-forward for Lazio in their upcoming league game.
Castellanos, 27, has scored 22 goals in 98 appearances with the Biancocelesti.
Castellanos will replace Niclas Fullkrug at West Ham, as the German officially joined Milan on loan today.
