Reports in Italy claim that Juventus, Inter and Premier League clubs are interested in signing Mike Maignan as a free agent in June, but according to Gazzetta, Milan have offered the French goalkeeper a new €5m-a-year contract.
Maignan has inspired many Milan victories this season with some crucial saves, including penalty kick stops on Paulo Dybala and Hakan Calhanoglu in 1-0 wins over Roma and Inter.
Maignan’s contract expires in June 2026, and Milan decided to retain the Frenchman at San Siro last summer, despite an offer from Chelsea.
According to Gazzetta, Milan have now offered Maignan a €5m-a-year contract for the next two or three years. An improvement compared to his current €3.2m-a-year salary and the previous contract proposal worth €4m per season.
The pink paper claims that Juventus and some Premier League clubs are closely monitoring Maignan and Corriere della Sera reports that even Inter have set their sights on the France international. Corriere reports that Maignan’s salary request to Milan is €5.5m per season.
Football Italia understands that talks between the club and the player are stalling and that Maignan’s exit on a free transfer in June remains likely at this stage.
