Nicolas Jackson made his first start for Bayern Munich in Saturday’s 4-1 win over Hoffenheim but was substituted around the hour mark after struggling to make a significant impact.
After the match, Bayern board member for sport Max Eberl acknowledged that the 24-year-old will need time to reach his best at his new club, while praising his attitude.
“He has had relatively little time here, and it’s clear the connection (with his teammates, editor’s note) is not there yet,” Eberl told Kicker.
“We always expect commitment, and he showed that,” added the Bayern chief.
“He also expects more from himself. I think there’s more possible.”
Jackson could be involved again when Bayern face Werder Bremen on Friday.
Quick take: Big picture: the update fits broader trends across the league with schedule pressure and tight tables. Supporters will watch for clarity from training ground reports and official briefings. We’ll keep an eye on confirmed details as the story develops from official sources.
