Ghanaian defender Terry Yegbe reveals Augustine Boakye’s drive in FC Metz switch

Ghanaian international defender Terry Yegbe says he was inspired by his compatriot Augustine Boakye to join French Ligue 1 outfit, FC Metz.Yegbe’s outstanding display in Sweden earned him a significant move to FC Metz during the summer window. He signed a four-year deal that will keep him at the club until summer 2029.The 24-year-old centre-back has since become a mainstay at FC Metz, making eight appearances in the French Ligue 1 this season.Speaking to Flashscore, the former Black Meteors centre-back confirmed contact with the Ghanaian midfielder before switching to FC Metz.“I had just come back from training when my agent called and said Metz really want you. I spoke to Augustine and he told me it’s a good team, good city, and they develop players.
