Fulham closing in on Manchester City star who has 16 caps for Norway

Fulham are closing in on the signing of Manchester City midfielder Oscar Bobb after reaching a verbal agreement with the player. Bobb has struggled for first team minutes with City this season and was reportedly pushing for a move away.

The arrival of Antione Semenyo is believed to have pushed Bobb further down the pecking order and ultimately out the door at the Etihad. Sky Sport Germany’s Florian Plettenberg has reported that a deal between the clubs is close, with a final agreement in the region of £35–40m set to be sorted soon.

Bobb remains highly rated across Europe and also has interest from Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund. He climbed through the youth ranks at City before breaking into the first team in 2023.

Injuries have hampered much of his time at the club however, limiting him to just 26 Premier League appearances. He missed almost the whole of last season after fracturing a bone in his leg during training in August 2024.

The 22-year-old has featured 15 times for City this season without scoring. His last appearance came on 17 December against Brentford in the Carabao Cup, when he picked up an injury inside the opening 20 minutes.

He has also featured six times for Norway this season, helping his country qualify for this summer’s World Cup. Bobb plays mainly as a winger but can operate in the No.10 role as well as in the deeper lying midfield positions.

The player will be hoping to kickstart what has been a sputtering Premier League career so far. He will be joining a Fulham side that are in a rich vein of form at moment, having lost only one of their last seven Premier League games.

Marco Silva’s men sit seventh in the table following their 2-1 win over Brighton on Saturday. The Cottagers have also submitted a bid for PSV Eindhoven and USMNT striker Ricardo Pepi.
