Fiorentina will wear special edition Kappa jersey for 25th anniversary

Fiorentina will wear a special edition jersey against bitter rivals Juventus to mark 25 years of their iconic Kombat kit, designed by Kappa.

The Serie A match kicks off at the Stadio Artemio Franchi in Florence on Saturday November 22 at 17.00 GMT.

All the club teams around the world are marking the 25th anniversary of the legendary Kombat 2000 kit by launching new and updated versions in the period from November 15 to 30.

Called the KombatTM XXV, versions will be worn by Fiorentina, Spezia, Empoli, Vasco da Gama, Genoa, Red Star Belgrade, Nacional Madeira, Tigre and Racing Avellaneda.

The jersey is made with a tight-fitting, hyper-elastic design, made of 92 per cent recycled polyester and 8 per cent elastane.

As a collector’s item, it is sold with a special sealed bag inspired by trading card packs.

It is not yet clear whether it will also be worn when Fiorentina face Atalanta in Serie A on November 30.

The Tuscans made their debut under new coach Paolo Vanoli in a 2-2 draw at Genoa.
