Everton “send official bid” for Super Lig star who David Moyes once called “incredible”

Everton are looking to strengthen their attack in the January transfer window after struggling to find consistent goals this season.

Beto has once again failed to make a significant impact, while Thierno Barry, though talented, is still adjusting to the Premier League.

With a push for European qualification still possible, the Merseysiders see a new striker as a key priority.

The Blues have reportedly made an official approach for Fenerbahce forward Youssef En-Nesyri, aiming to bring in experience and firepower up front.

Taking to X, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano wrote: “Everton send official bid to Fenerbahçe for Youssef En-Nesyri on initial loan with €20m buy option. Negotiations underway.”

The 28-year-old Moroccan enjoyed a successful spell at Sevilla, scoring 73 goals in 196 appearances and helping the club win the Europa League twice. Since moving to Fenerbahce in 2024, En-Nesyri has continued his scoring form, netting 38 goals, including seven in 15 Super Lig appearances this season.

Everton manager David Moyes has described the striker as “incredible,” praising his quality and experience.

A move for En-Nesyri would provide a proven goal threat to complement Thierno Barry, while potentially allowing Beto to move on. Everton see the Moroccan forward as a key piece in boosting their attacking options for the remainder of the season.
