Barcelona will swap out their regular sponsor for Ed Sheeran when they face Real Madrid in El Clasico next month, continuing their tradition of featuring music icons on their shirts through their partnership with Spotify.
Spotify, who hold the naming rights to Camp Nou, have previously replaced the sponsor logo for Barca’s biggest game with the likes of Drake, Rosalía, The Rolling Stones, Karol G, Coldplay and Travis Scott.
Sheeran will now join that list when Barcelona travel to the Santiago Bernabéu on October 26.
According to Catalan outlet RAC1, the shirt will feature either Ed Sheeran’s name or the logo of his new album "Play". Barca kit specialist @memorabilia1899 has claimed both designs are being considered.

As with previous collaborations, a lifestyle collection tied to the special shirt may also drop, with proceeds often directed towards charity, though no details have been confirmed this time around.
Sheeran – who, fittingly, once released a song titled "Barcelona" back in 2017 – released "Play" on September 12 to mixed reviews.
