Desabre names strong 26-man DR Congo squad for AFCON 2025 in Morocco

DR Congo head coach Sebastien Desabre has unveiled his 26-man squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.The list features several key players who helped the Leopards reach the playoffs of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.Captain Chancel Mbemba leads the group, which also includes Axel Tuanzebe, Noah Sadiki, Fiston Mayele, Meschak Elia and Cedric Bakambu, but injured Yoane Wissa misses out.Since taking charge, Desabre has emphasised consistency, current form and a balanced team structure.
