Cameroon will be without midfielder André-Frank Zambo Anguissa at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations after Napoli confirmed he suffered a severe thigh injury while on international duty. The 29-year-old sustained a âhigh-grade lesion to his left hamstring,â according to a statement released by Napoli on Thursday. The injury is expected to sideline him for three to four months, ruling him out of the tournament that begins on December 21 in Morocco.Anguissa has been an influential figure for Cameroon since making his debut in 2017. His absence leaves a significant gap in Cameroonâs midfield as they prepare to face Gabon, the Ivory Coast, and Mozambique in the group stage.Anguissaâs exclusion is a major blow for Cameroon head coach Marc Brys, who will now have to adjust his plans ahead of the AFCON, where expectations for the Indomitable Lions remain high.He has contributed four goals and two assists in 15 appearances for Napoli across Serie A and the Champions League.
