Vice Chairman of the Black Stars Management Committee, Stephen Appiah, is confident that Ghana has the talent to make a deep run at the 2026 World Cup.After a disappointing campaign in 2024, the Black Stars bounced back strongly to secure qualification for next summer’s tournament, which will be co-hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.As the four-time African champions prepare to learn their group-stage opponents later today in Washington, DC, Appiah—who captained Ghana to their first World Cup appearance in 2006 in Germany—believes the current squad has the quality to excel on football’s biggest stage.“The draw [2026 World Cup] is coming up in December, we are going to America, Canada and Mexico," Appiah via Betway.“We have done that before when we went to Germany.
