
Black Princesses head coach Charles Sampson says his side is fully prepared to defend their title at the upcoming WAFU Zone B U20 Womenâs Cup in Benin.Speaking to ghanafa.org, Sampson revealed that the team has quickly settled in despite arriving late and missing their initial training session.âUnfortunately, we came a bit late yesterday, so we couldnât train as planned. We were forced to put in a lot of effort today to be ready for tomorrow,â he said.The coach described the tournament as a timely opportunity to give his players valuable international exposure ahead of their FIFA U20 Womenâs World Cup qualifier against South Africa.âWeâre taking this as a stepping stone for our World Cup qualifiers with South Africa,â he noted.Ghana will open their campaign against host nation Benin on Friday, November 7, 2025, at 09:00 GMT.Sampson added that his players are focused and motivated to maintain Ghanaâs dominance.âOur aim is to win it. Being defending champions is a big motivation for the girls, and they want to replicate what their predecessors did,â he concluded.The tournament runs from November 7-11, 2025.
