Arsenal forward Gabriel Jesus has described Inter as ‘one of the best teams in Europe’ ahead of the Champions League match between the two teams at San Siro on Tuesday.
The Nerazzurri welcome the Premier League and Champions League leaders to the historic stadium in Milan, as Arsenal look to win a match that they lost last season.
The two sides met in the same phase of the competition and Inter won, led by then-head coach Simone Inzaghi.
Speaking at the pre-match press conference, with quotes via football.london, Jesus said that “we want to keep winning games and tomorrow we have a tough one against one of the best teams in Europe.”
Jesus is happy with his personal recovery, having missed a large chunk of the last 12 months through injury.
“I’m so glad,” the Brazilian said, “I thank God every single day I come back in great shape. At the moment, I’m so glad since I come back I have had a lot of minutes.”
It is unclear whether or not the forward will start from the off at San Siro, or if Arteta will keep his faith in summer signing Victor Gyokeres.
Jesus was linked with a move to Italy in the summer, with Milan at one point being named a potential destination for the former Manchester City man. However, he did not end up playing in Rossoneri, remaining the ‘Rossobianco’ of Arsenal.
