Arne Slot responds calmly to growing pressure amid Liverpool crisis

Liverpool boss Arne Slot has opened up on the future of his job with the Premier League side.

Slot’s Liverpool suffered a 4-1 defeat at Anfield in the Champions League on Wednesday night.

It was Liverpool’s 9th defeat in last 12 games. Having lost their last three matches with 3 goals, the Reds have entered their worst form since 1953.

“I speak to Liverpool hierarchy, we have those talks but they don’t call me in every single minute of the day to tell me that they trust me!”.

“We do have the normal conversations and I feel the trust. I haven’t spoken to them after this game yet, so let’s see!”.

Despite his calm demeanor, Slot is well aware of the mounting tension within the club. Senior figures at Fenway Sports Group (FSG), including Michael Edwards and Richard Hughes, are reportedly evaluating the current situation closely following a series of disappointing results.

While Slot retains backing for now, the club expects to see a clear turnaround before January, when key transfer and managerial decisions will be made.

Several key players such as Mohamed Salah, Ibrahima Konaté, and Cody Gakpo have struggled for form while new signings like Hugo Ekitike, Alexander Isak and Florian Wirtz have failed to make an impact following their big money move.
