Former Ghana international Emmanuel Agyemang Badu has shared his view on calls for Asante Kotoko defender Samba O'Neil to be considered for a place in the Black Stars ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.In the last two seasons in the Ghana Premier League, the Congolese centre-back has established himself as one of the best in his position. As a result, there has been a campaign for the leaders of the countrys football to engage Samba ONeil to convince him to naturalise and play for Ghana, with many believing he will be an important addition to the national team.Speaking to Akoma FM in an interview, Emmanuel Agyemang Badu has shared his view on the issue. He is of the view that although Samba ONeil is a good player, this is not the time to consider him for the Black Stars.Samba Oniel is a very good player and someone I admire greatly, but I dont think this is the right time to have that conversation. We cannot go with him to the World Cup.Perhaps we can revisit the discussion after the tournament, but for now, its a clear no, Badu said.Despite the growing calls for Samba O'Neil's consideration for a place in the Black Stars, Ghanaian football leaders have not shown any interest.
