
Talented Ghanaian midfielder Rafiq Lamptey has made his senior debut for Millwall FC during the FA Cup game against Premier League side Burnley. Lamptey, the younger brother of Black Stars right-back Tariq Lamptey, was rewarded his first senior appearance after an impressive run with the U21's.The 19-year-old replaced Thierno Ballo in the 66th minute, and delivered his first goal contribution in the 5-1 defeat to the Clarets.In a game dominated by the topflight side, Ashley Barnes opened the scoring in the 11th minute, his first of the match.Luom Tchaouna and Jaidon Anthony netted in the space of ten minute to extend the advantage as Burnley headed into the break 3-0 up.After the break, Barnes added his second before Jaydon Banel netted to put the game beyond the Championship side.Lamptey then served a sumptuous assist to Josh Coburn as Millwall pulled one back late in the match.The English-born Ghanaian has been a prominent figure for the U21's and will be hoping for more first team opportunities.
