Manchester United are entering a period of major upheaval after parting ways with manager Ruben Amorim earlier this week.
The Portuguese coach leaves Old Trafford following a turbulent 14 months in charge, during which he recorded the worst win percentage of any manager at the club since the departure of Sir Alex Ferguson.
Despite occasional flashes of improvement on the pitch, a public falling-out with senior club figures hastened his dismissal.
United are now looking to stabilize both on and off the field, appointing a caretaker manager to oversee the remainder of the season while simultaneously considering moves to strengthen the squad.
One familiar face could be part of that plan.
According to SPORT, per Deadline Day Live, Manchester United are expected to “try and recall” Marcus Rashford from his loan spell at Barcelona. The forward has thrived in Spain this season, registering 18 goal contributions across all competitions and impressing with his pace and attacking verve on the wing.
Rashford initially joined Barcelona in the summer on a loan deal with a £30.3 million option to buy. However, financial constraints mean the Catalan club are unlikely to trigger the permanent transfer, opening the door for a potential return to Old Trafford.
Having previously flourished under former manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Rashford could provide a much-needed spark as United look to rebuild following Amorim’s departure.
Whether the England international will be eager to cut short his spell in Spain remains to be seen, but a return could be the perfect boost for both player and club as they aim to stabilize their season.
Over the years, he's had the pleasure of interviewing some of the biggest names in world sport, including Usain Bolt, Rafael Nadal, Christian Pulisic, and more.
