Torino looking to send Asllani back to Inter despite option to buy clause

Reports in Italy claim that Torino are looking to cut short their loan deal for Inter’s Kristjan Asllani despite having an option to buy the Albania international permanently for a fee in the region of €12m.

According to reports from Fabrizio Romano, Matteo Moretto and Calciomercato.com, Torino are exploring the possibility of ending their loan deal with Inter for Asllani almost six months ahead of schedule.

The Granata have reportedly been left underwhelmed by the 23-year-old’s performances across his 15 Serie A appearances for them this term.

Asllani is likely to be dropped for Sunday’s Serie A match away against Torino, and recent updates claim that Torino will make a decision on the Albanian’s future after the match finishes.

Torino reportedly paid a fee of €1.5m to sign Asllani on loan from Inter for the season, and have an option to make the move permanent for a fee of €12m in the summer.

According to Calciomercato, if Torino do cut short Asllani’s loan deal, Inter would not be interested in keeping him on board for the rest of the 2025-26 season, and would instead look to arrange a new loan deal for the remainder of the campaign.

Quick take: Big picture: the update fits broader trends across the league with schedule pressure and tight tables. Supporters will watch for clarity from training ground reports and official briefings. We’ll keep an eye on confirmed details as the story develops from official sources.
