Genoa host Atalanta this evening in what promises to be an exciting affair between two teams showing steady signs of improvement.

For the hosts, the club have looked in a healthier place since Patrick Vieira was replaced by Daniele De Rossi as head coach, climbing clear of the relegation zone.

Meanwhile, La Dea have been inconsistent domestically but Raffaele Palladino’s blushes have been spared by a very impressive Champions League campaign.

Whilst they sit in 13th place in Serie A, they are 5th in the Champions League table and look likely to bypass the play-off round altogether, if, of course, they can remain in the top eight positions.
