
Swedish football manager Kim Lars Bjorkegren has reflected on his one-year spell with the Black Queens of Ghana, saying it has been amazing. Bjorkegren took over the Black Queens coaching job early 2025, replacing Nora Hauptle, who departed to join the Zambia Women national team.The 43-year-old tactician has since chalked some successes with the West African women football giants, securing bronze medal at the Womenâs Africa Cup of Nations and also qualifying the Queens for the next edition of the tournament.The Black Queens ended the year with a 2-0 friendly defeat to powerhouse, England at the St Maryâs Stadium, Southampton.Reflecting on his spell with the Queens, the Swedish gaffer said, âThere have been a little bit of crazy year. Almost a year with the Black Stars, it has been amazingââIt been difficult sometimes, but overall it has been a great experience and Iâm so happy that I took the opportunity and the chance to be the head coach for the Black Queens.
