Ghana international Tariq Lamptey was nearly denied entry to his home stadium before Fiorentina’s Europa Conference League clash against Dynamo Kyiv on Thursday night.As per the Viola News, Lamptey, who joined the Italian outfit in the summer from Brighton and Hove Albion initially struggled to get access to the Stadio Artemio Franchi, as stewards and security staff failed to identify him as a Fiorentina player.Currently recovering from a ligament injury, Lamptey had to watch the game from the stands and support his teammates.Eventually, the Black Stars defender gained access only after a Fiorentina fan intervened, recognized him, and introduced him to the stewards and security as a member of the team.Putting on a stellar performance in the high-stake, the Italian outfit cruised to a 2-1 home victory over their opponent.
