Antonio Conte has made eight changes to his Napoli side for this evening’s Coppa Italia round of 16 match against Cagliari, as he prepares to take on his former club, Juventus, in Serie A over the weekend.
Kick-off is due at 17.00 GMT (18.00 CET).
You can follow the action as it unfolds on the Football Italia Liveblog.
This is Napoli’s first involvement in the Coppa Italia this season, while the visitors have already defeated Virtus Entella and Frosinone in the earlier rounds of the cup in order to qualify for this evening’s round of 16 tie.
Conte already has one eye on Sunday’s Serie A headliner against his former club Juventus, and has therefore decided to name a heavily rotated side against Cagliari on Wednesday.
Of the team that started in Napoli’s 1-0 win over previous league leaders Roma on Sunday, only Vanja Milinlovic-Savic, Sam Beukema and Mathias Olivera keep their place in the starting line-up. Amir Rrahmani, Alessandro Buongiorno, Giovanni Di Lorenzo, Stanislav Lobotka, Scott McTominay, David Neres, Rasmus Hojlund and Noa Lang have all been rested.
Luca Marianucci is suspended and therefore unavailable, but it is expected that he would have also started had he been available.
Napoli are still without Romelu Lukaku, Kevin De Bruyne, Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa and Billy Gilmour.
This means that there are opportunities for some of Napoli’s lesser-seen first-team squad members, including 22-year-olds Antonio Vergara, Giuseppe Ambrosino and Pasquale Mazzocchi.
Cagliari, who were beaten 2-1 by Juventus over the weekend, have also made several alterations to their starting line-up, but there are opportunities for the likes of Zito Luvumbo, Gianluca Gaetano and Leonardo Pavoletti in the starting line-up against Napoli.
Napoli (3-4-3): Milinkovic-Savic; Beukema, Juan Jesus, Olivera; Mazzocchi, Vergara, Elmas, Spinazzola; Politano, Lucca, Ambrosino.
Cagliari (3-4-3): Caprile; Deiola, Luperto, Rodriguez; Di Pardo, Adopo, Gaetano, Obert; Kilicsoy, Pavoletti, Luvumbo.
