A key outcome of the talks is a programme designed to enhance Ghanas coaching standards through access to the FAWs respected coach education pathway.
Through this initiative, a group of carefully selected Ghanaian coaches from the national development structure will travel to Wales in 2026 to begin their advancement under top-level Welsh coaching expertise. The move is expected to strengthen grassroots development and positively influence player performance in the coming years.
The collaboration also includes exploring opportunities for international fixtures between youth and senior teams of both countries. With Ghana now qualified for the FIFA World Cup 2026, the FAW believes such engagements could provide mutual competitive advantages and increase exposure to different football styles.
The agreement reflects a shared belief that football associations thrive when they collaborate, exchange knowledge and create pathways for young athletes to develop beyond their borders. It also highlights a growing relationship between two football institutions committed to using education and innovation as tools to improve their national game.
