Chelsea’s season just keeps soaring.

Enzo Maresca’s side sit second in the Premier League and are quietly shaping themselves into genuine title contenders.

In Europe, they look just as formidable — their emphatic 3–0 dismantling of Barcelona at Stamford Bridge was a statement win, showcasing the club’s frightening potential at both ends of the pitch.

Estevão continues to shine as the next superstar in line, Robert Sánchez has rediscovered top form, and the partnership between Enzo Fernández and Moisés Caicedo is beginning to look like one of the best midfield duos anywhere in world football.

And yet, Chelsea’s long-term project still has more layers to come — particularly up front.

Fabrizio Romano has provided a fresh update on Chelsea’s plans for Strasbourg striker Emmanuel Emegha, confirming once again that the Dutch international is locked in for a move to Stamford Bridge next summer.

The 22-year-old has been outstanding for BlueCo-owned Strasbourg this season, including a goal against Crystal Palace in the Europa Conference League.

That strike took him to seven goals and two assists in just ten games for the campaign — building on the 14 he scored last season to bring his total to 21 goals since the start of 2023/24.

Chelsea already announced the deal in the summer, and according to Romano, everything is fully mapped out for the young forward’s arrival.

Romano wrote: “Emmanuel Emegha’s contract at Chelsea from 2026 will run for the next seven years. Plan already clear for the striker who keeps shining at Strasbourg, leading the team in France and Europe… with next chapter at #CFC.”

It’s another example of Chelsea using their multi-club network to their advantage, securing a coveted talent long before rival clubs had a chance to enter the race. If Emegha continues his current trajectory, the Blues may have a major attacking weapon on their hands next season.

Quick take: Transfer watch: this move could reshape selection options and tactical balance in coming weeks. If incentives and add-ons are confirmed, expect follow-up negotiations or medicals to move quickly. We’ll keep an eye on confirmed details as the story develops from official sources.
