Manchester United are interested AC Milan forward Christian Pulisic. The USA international has been one of the Serie A’s standout performers since joining Milan from Chelsea in 2023.

He finished as the club’s top scorer last season with 17 goals in all competitions. Pulisic’s current contract is set to expire in 2027, with Milan keen to extend his deal and increase his salary. Football Transfers has reported that the player has stalled on extension talks and could be made available if an extension is not agreed.

He is believed to wants assurance over Champions League football in the future, and at 28 is aware that his next contract could be his most crucial. A return to the Premier League has long been mooted for the Pulisic, who publicly stated the he was a United fan as a child.

Though United have failed to qualify for Champions League football in recent years as well, the Red Devils are currently just 1 point off of Champions League places. A return to Europe could see them land their target over the summer.

Pulisic was reportedly offered fresh terms last spring, but opted to delay his decision. He is believed to have been disappointed with Milan’s 8th place finish last season resulting in a lack of European football.

He also awaited the arrival of a new manager after the sacking of Sergio Conceicao. Milan’s re-appointment of former Serie A winning manager Max Allegri is said to have fulfilled one of Pulisic’s desires, but the player is still seeking assurance of European football.

Milan currently sit third in the Serie A table, two points off of fierce rivals Inter who are tied on points with Roma. Pulisic’s team high six goals and two assists in all competitions highlights his influence in the side.

The man nicknamed “Captain America” has estimated value of €47.9m according to Italian publication Calcio Mercarto. United could face competition from Bayern Munich, who are keen on Pulisic as a potential replacement for Serge Gnabry.
