Switzerland coach Murat Yakin praises Dan Ndoye, saying that the ex-Bologna star ‘really clicked up front’ during his time at the Stadio Dall’Ara.
Former Bologna star Ndoye has been playing a key role for his national team in the World Cup qualifiers, scoring four goals and providing three assists in his last seven international matches.
The 25-year-old scored one goal in Switzerland’s 4-1 win over Sweden last night and was praised by his national team coach Yakin.
“He works incredibly disciplined defensively, and he really clicked up front during his time in Bologna,” Yakin said via Blick.
Ndoye joined Nottingham Forest from Bologna in a deal exceeding €40m last summer and has collected two goals and one assist in 14 appearances with the Premier League club this term.
During his time at Bologna, Ndoye worked under Vincenzo Italiano, one of the most exciting Serie A coaches in recent years, who is known for his excellent job in developing wingers.
Ndoye scored 11 goals and provided eight assists in 75 games with Bologna, netting the winner in a Coppa Italia Final won by the Rossoblu against Milan in 2024-25.
