Parma have confirmed that goalkeeper Zion Suzuki, who has Ghanaian heritage, underwent surgery on a hand fracture and will be sidelined for three to four months.The 23-year-old sustained the injury during Parma’s 2-2 Serie A draw with AC Milan at the Stadio Tardini over the weekend.He finished the match despite the pain, but its severity became clear only afterward.Suzuki was taken to a nearby hospital for x-rays, which revealed fractures to the scaphoid and third finger of his left hand.The player subsequently underwent surgery at the Institute for Integrated Sports Medicine and Keio University School of Medicine in Tokyo.Parma’s medical chief, Dr. Giulio Pasta, was present during the operation to oversee the procedure.The club confirmed that rehabilitation will take place in Japan, with Sky Sport Italia reporting a projected return in three to four months.The injury comes at a critical time, with Suzuki previously linked to potential transfers to Chelsea and AC Milan.His absence leaves Parma seeking alternatives between the posts as they navigate the remainder of the Serie A season.
