Reports in Italy confirm that recently-appointed Juventus head coach Luciano Spalletti has decided to live on site at the club’s training ground for at least the next eight months, as he did during his final, Scudetto-winning season at Napoli.
Spalletti was announced as the head coach of Juventus at the end of October, signing a contract until the end of the 2025-26 season with a potential option to renew depending on Champions League qualification.
He won his first match in charge: A 2-1 victory away against Cremonese in Serie A, and has since drawn his last two, against Sporting CP in the Champions League and against Torino in the Derby della Mole before the international break.
As La Gazzetta dello Sport have confirmed, Spalletti has decided to live on site at the Juventus training ground, at least until the end of the 2025-26 campaign.
Specifically, he has a room at the affiliated JHotel, and has a room that overlooks the neighbouring training centre.
As the Pink Paper writes, the coach feels most ‘at home’ when he is able to live and breathe football, which is why he has decided to live so close to his place of work.
Part of the reason is out of convenience for Juventus as well, given that Spalletti is only contracted for the next eight months as things stand, making long-term accommodation plans somewhat of a gamble.
Spalletti also had a bedroom at Napoli’s Castel Volturno training ground during their Scudetto-winning campaign in 2022-23.
