Arsenal’s charge toward the Premier League title continues to gather momentum.
Despite a surprise slip-up at Sunderland last weekend, Mikel Arteta’s side remain clear at the top of the table, while their Champions League form has been equally impressive.
With new signings Viktor Gyökeres and Noni Madueke shining, Leandro Trossard rediscovering his best form, and the defence as resolute as ever, this season is shaping up to be one of promise and potential glory for the Gunners.
However, not every player has benefited from the team’s strong performances — and one talented youngster could soon be seeking more regular opportunities elsewhere.
According to journalist Mark Brus of CaughtOffside, several Premier League clubs are closely tracking Myles Lewis-Skelly’s situation at Arsenal amid his limited game time this season.
The 19-year-old was recently left out of Thomas Tuchel’s England squad for their upcoming fixtures against Serbia and Albania, with the Three Lions boss explaining that the youngster simply “needs more starts” at club level to retain his place in the national setup.
Lewis-Skelly has featured for just 87 minutes in the Premier League so far, having lost his spot at left-back to Riccardo Calafiori, while Piero Hincapié has also moved ahead of him in recent weeks.
Once described as “incredible” by pundit Gary Neville, Lewis-Skelly remains one of Arsenal’s most exciting homegrown prospects, known for his technical quality, athleticism, and calmness in possession.
Reports suggest West Ham, Everton, Fulham, and Nottingham Forest are all monitoring his availability, with a potential loan move under consideration should Arsenal decide to allow one in January.
For now, though, Arteta is unlikely to sanction any exits, as Arsenal push on in both domestic and European competitions. Lewis-Skelly also penned a new five-year contract earlier this year — a clear sign of the club’s belief in his long-term future at the Emirates.
Over the years, he's had the pleasure of interviewing some of the biggest names in world sport, including Usain Bolt, Rafael Nadal, Christian Pulisic, and more.
