La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Juventus have put talks with Kenan Yildiz on hold while Chelsea, Arsenal and Real Madrid remain interested in the Turkish star.
Juventus have reportedly decided to put Yildiz’s contract talks on hold, having failed to reach an agreement with the entourage of the Turkish star.
Yildiz’s current deal at the Allianz Stadium is set to expire in 2029, but negotiations have stalled in recent weeks.
Juventus are eager to raise the striker’s salary as Yildiz’s €1.7m annual wages do not reflect his status in the team.
The club considers increasing the striker’s salary to €6m per season, but according to the report, there’s still a gap of €1m between Juventus’ offer and Yildiz’s demands.
Therefore, the Bianconeri have decided to put negotiations on hold, but interest from some of the wealthiest clubs in the world leaves Yildiz’s future at the Allianz Stadium in doubt.
Chelsea already offered €67m last summer and remain interested in the 20-year-old. According to the report, the Blues will make a new attempt in the summer, but Arsenal and Real Madrid are also following developments in Turin.
According to the report, new CEO Damien Comolli is confident that the two parties will still reach an agreement in the coming months, especially since John Elkann is a huge admirer of the No. 10, which means the Juventus owner could intervene personally to unlock negotiations.
In the meantime, Yildiz still has a key role on the pitch for Juventus, as Luciano Spalletti confirmed after a 0-0 draw against Torino on Saturday.
