Inter follow Aké and Guehi but Liverpool prepare 100m Bastoni bid – report

Italian newspaper Il Giorno reports that Liverpool are preparing an offer worth €100m for Inter star Alessandro Bastoni, but the Nerazzurri are unwilling to sell and are following other centre-backs, including Marc Guehi and Nathan Aké.

Premier League giants Liverpool are preparing an offer of circa €100m to sign Italy international Bastoni from Inter, according to Il Giorno.

Bastoni is one of the cornerstones of the Inter squad, so the Nerazzurri are unwilling to sell him. The Italian is also under contract until 2028 and is one of the highest earners in the team with a €5.5m-a-year salary.

Only Lautaro Martinez, Nicolò Barella, Hakan Calhanoglu and Marcus Thuram get more.

Regardless of their decision on Bastoni, however, Inter remain on the lookout for a new centre-back given that Francesco Acerbi, Matteo Darmian and Stefan de Vrij’s contracts expire at the end of the season.

According to the report, Manchester City’s Aké and Crystal Palace’s Guehi are on the Nerazzurri’s agenda and the same is true of Dayot Upamecano (Bayern Munich), Mario Gila (Lazio), Oumar Solet (Udinese) and Tiago Gabriel (Lecce).
