Paolo Vanoli has just arrived at the Viola Park to begin his tenure as Fiorentina coach.
The timing has been confirmed; on Wednesday, we reported that Vanoli would be appointed as the Fiorentina coach today, and the ex-Torino boss has just arrived at the club’s training ground, Viola Park, to begin his tenure.
The Italian tactician will sign a contract until June with an option to extend to 2027.
On Thursday, Vanoli reached an agreement to terminate his deal with Torino as the 52-year-old was still under contract with the Granata until June 2026.
Vanoli has returned to Fiorentina after more than 20 years as he had played at the Stadio Franchi as a footballer from 2000 to 2002, scoring three goals in 61 appearances.
On Sunday, he’ll make his debut as the Fiorentina coach in a crucial away game at Genoa.
Genoa also appointed a new coach earlier this week, appointing Daniele De Rossi.
Fiorentina sacked Stefano Pioli on Tuesday and temporarily replaced him with Daniele Galloppa, who was the interim coach in a 2-1 loss against Mainz in the Conference League on Thursday.
