Massimiliano Allegri and Milan are gearing up to take on Parma in Serie A on Saturday evening, and reports on Thursday claim that the Rossoneri will observe opposition centre-forward Mateo Pellegrino, who is of interest approaching the January transfer window.
Milan, who have most regularly lined up in a 3-5-2 under Allegri, are still evaluating their options at centre-forward. Santiago Gimenez remains the only ‘natural’ centre-forward among the senior squad, while Rafael Leao, Christian Pulisic and Christopher Nkunku have also been deployed as the forward-most attackers so far this season.
And, with Gimenez still yet to score in Serie A after 10 rounds of the 2025-26 season, there have been suggestions that Milan could look to shake up their attacking department in the January transfer window.
According to reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport, Parma centre-forward Pellegrino is one of the strikers of interest to Milan heading into the January transfer window.
The Pink Paper claims that Pellegrino is an enticing option for Milan given his familiarity with Serie A compared to some of the club’s other targets, his age – being 24 and still having room for improvement – and his potential cost, given that Parma paid just €2m plus a 50% sell-on clause to sign him.
Among the alternative options for Milan up front heading into the January transfer window are Joaquin Panichelli from Strasbourg, Jonathan Burkadt of Eintracht Frankfurt and Artem Dovbyk from Roma.
