
Brighton and Hove Albion forward Michelle Agyemang has vowed to return stronger after suffering a season-ending anterior cruciate ligament injury.The 19-year-old, on loan from Arsenal, sustained the injury during Englandâs 3-0 friendly win over Australia.The English-Ghanaian was stretchered off after a non-contact incident, with subsequent scans confirming the ACL tear.Agyemangâs setback brings an abrupt halt to what had been a promising follow-up to her breakout year.She featured prominently in Englandâs 2025 Womenâs Euro triumph, scoring vital goals in the knockout rounds and earning the Young Player of the Tournament award.In a post on Instagram, the player of Ghanaian descent expressed optimism despite the disappointment.âDisappointed that results show a torn ACL. I am so grateful for all the kind words and support from everyone. Recovery starts now, I will be back stronger than before,â she wrote.Her injury not only ends her club campaign but also rules her out of Englandâs friendly against Ghana on December 2.
