
Black Stars captain Andre Ayew has urged the Black Queens to remain focused on their legacy and national pride amid the ongoing standoff over unpaid bonuses.Ayew visited the team at their base in Accra on Monday to show solidarity and motivate the players ahead of Tuesdayâs 2026 Womenâs Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) qualifier second leg against Egypt.In his address, the former Ghana captain reminded the Queens of their impressive achievement at the 2024 WAFCON in Morocco, where they finished third to earn a return to the continental stage."You guys did something great a few months ago at the WAFCON," Ayew said, as quoted by Sporty FM.
