Napoli legend Careca is confident that Carlo Ancelotti is ‘the right man’ for Brazil to win the World Cup.
Ancelotti was appointed as the new Brazil coach in May and will lead the Seleçao at the 2026 World Cup.
“He has a great history, and he’s a great coach,” Careca told Gazzetta.
“He has worked in many countries with players of various nationalities, and he knows Brazilian talent very well. It’s been far too long since we’ve won a World Cup, and he’s the right man to make it happen.”
During the same interview, Careca also examined the Napoli situation, arguing that Scott McTominay remains the key player for the Partenopei.
Careca did not win the World Cup with Brazil as a footballer, but did win one Scudetto with Napoli in 1989-90.
Quick take: Match context: momentum and small details could decide this one, especially set-pieces and transitions. Form and fitness will matter; expect managers to rotate carefully around the congested schedule. We’ll keep an eye on confirmed details as the story develops from official sources.
