Sky Sport Switzerland reports that Juventus have targeted Johannes Spors as their new sporting director, and according to Tuttosport, the 43-year-old has already held talks with the club’s ‘headhunters.’
Juventus have reportedly identified Southampton’s technical director Spors as their possible new sporting director.
According to Sky Sport Switzerland, the Bianconeri are looking for a profile who is familiar with Italian football and the German has already worked for Genoa.
The current Grifone director, Marco Ottolini, was also recently linked with the job at the Allianz Stadium.
Tuttosport adds that Spors has already held preliminary talks with the ‘headhunters that Juventus tasked with finding a new sporting director.’
Ideally, the Bianconeri aim to appoint a new sporting director by November 7, when their shareholders’ meeting will take place in Turin.
The latest updates, however, seem to suggest that neither Spors nor Ottolini would leave their current clubs anytime soon.
Juventus already appointed François Modesto as their technical director over the summer, and General Manager Damien Comolli will be promoted to CEO next month.
