Juventus coach Igor Tudor is under scrutiny following disappointing results this season and his predecessor, Thiago Motta, is somehow back in the frame at the Allianz Stadium.
Juventus’ latest victory dates back to September 13 when the Bianconeri beat arch-rivals Inter 4-3 at the Allianz Stadium.
Tudor’s team has gone on to draw five and lose one of the following six matches.
Cesc Fabregas’ Como were the first team to beat the Old Lady this season, but Sunday’s defeat at the Sinigaglia was only the latest of many worrying signals that the team has sent in recent weeks.
Fans on ufabet still see the Bianconeri among the contenders for a Champions League spot this season, but the top four is already three points away for the Old Lady as she prepares to visit Real Madrid and Lazio before hosting Udinese at the Allianz Stadium.
These games will likely be crucial for Tudor’s future at the Allianz Stadium, as many media in Italy claimed after a 2-0 loss against Como on Sunday.
“It was a difficult game against a well-organised team,” Tudor told DAZN after full-time.
“We conceded this goal from a set piece, but we did interesting things, like they did in the first half. In the second, it was a bit fragmented because of the way they played. After the 2-0, the game was over.”
Tudor extended his contract with Juventus until 2027 at the end of the previous campaign and after leading the team to a Champions League placement.
The Croatian tactician had replaced Thiago Motta, sacked after heavy defeats against Atalanta and Fiorentina in March 2025 and with the team sitting 5th in the table.
Just like Tudor, however, Motta remains under contract for two more years, until 2027, and according to Eurosport, the agreement with the former coach and his staff is worth €20m gross.
The Bianconeri have been trying to balance competitiveness and sustainability in recent years and, financially, it would not be ideal to have three coaches (Motta, Tudor and Tudor’s possible replacement) under contract for years to come.
Thiago Motta’s agent recently claimed that his client had received several proposals, also from foreign leagues. For Juventus, it would be a big financial boost for Juventus if Motta were to find a new club in the next two years as the financial burden would immediately decrease.
Until that moment, however, Juventus will be hoping that the team’s performances under Tudor will improve as the race for a Champions League placement has already started uphill, leaving the Bianconeri with little room for mistakes, regardless of the future of their coach.
