Samartex coach Christopher Ennin blames late lapse for Medeama draw

Samartex head coach Christopher Ennin has expressed frustration after his side let victory slip away in their 1-1 draw with Medeama SC in the Ghana Premier League on Friday.The Timber Giants appeared on course for all three points at the TNA Park after Dramani Awuah’s spectacular first-half strike from near the centre circle put them ahead.However, a late rebound finish from Kingsley Braye denied Samartex the win and ensured the defending champions remained top of the table.“It was quite a good game, but unfortunately, we just gave the game out,” Ennin said after the final whistle.“We still have to work on how to hold such pressure when we are in the lead. Lack of concentration cost us."I was expecting them to back their game up and stop sitting deep. I was shouting at them, but they tried to defend the goal.”Despite the setback, Samartex continue their unbeaten start to the campaign, having recorded two wins and four draws from six matches.Ennin’s men will aim to return to winning ways when they host newly promoted Hohoe United at the Nsenkyire Arena in their next Ghana Premier League fixture.
