Former Leicester City legend Jamie Vardy will get his first start in Italy when Cremonese kick off against Udinese in Serie A on Monday evening.
Vardy, who joined La Cremo as a free agent earlier this summer after 13 years with Leicester City, has been selected to play alongside Federico Bonazzoli in Davide Nicola’s 3-5-2: His first start since moving to Italy over the summer.
Kick-off is due at 19.45 BST.
Cremonese sit in 10th place before kick-off, and could rise above Juventus in the Serie A standings with a victory against Udinese on Monday. The visitors are just one point behind their hosts as things stand, and require a victory to climb into the top half of the league table.
Nicola has made wholesale changes following his side’s 4-1 defeat by Inter prior to the international break. Vardy and Bonazzoli both come into the starting line-up, as do Jari Vandeputte, Martin Payero, Alessio Zerbin and Filippo Terracciano.
Udinese, who drew 1-1 with Cagliari last time out, have made three changes, including a swap in goal as Maduka Okoye returns between the posts. Vakoun Issouf Bayo replaces Keinan Davis, and Jurgen Ekkelenkamp comes in for Jakub Piotrowski.
Cremonese (3-5-2): Silvestri; Terracciano, Baschirotto, Bianchetti; Zerbin, Payero, Bondo, Vandeputte, Pezzella; Bonazzoli, Vardy.
Udinese (3-5-2): Okoye; Goglichidze, Kabasele, Solet; Zanoli, Atta, Karlstrom, Ekkelenkamp, Kamara; Zaniolo, Bayo.
