Nkunku adds to AC Milan injury problems against Fiorentina

Injury problems are increasing for Max Allegri, because AC Milan will also be without Christopher Nkunku against Fiorentina on Sunday.

It kicks off at San Siro on Sunday at 19.45 UK time (18.45 GMT).

The Rossoneri were already forced to do without Adrien Rabiot, who picked up a calf strain on international duty, Christian Pulisic, Pervis Estupinan and Ardon Jashari.

Now Sky Sport Italia explain that Nkunku has also been ruled out of the big Serie A match, as he too sustained a knock during international duty.

It leaves very few alternatives for Allegri, so Rafael Leao and Ruben Loftus-Cheek are likely to start upfront, leaving Santiago Gimenez on the bench to come on later in the day.

There are also suggestions that Athekame could get his first start for the club, as Alexis Saelemaekers is not at 100 per cent after withdrawing from the Belgium squad due to a muscular issue.
