"It's crazy to play it twice"- Kamaldeen Sulemana eager for second World Cup after Ghana's qualification

AL WAKRAH, QATAR – DECEMBER 02: Kamaldeen Sulemana of GhanaKamaldeen Sulemana has opened up on Ghana's qualification to the 2026 FIFA World Cup after playing a role in ensuring the Black Stars are back on the big stage.The Atalanta Bergamo forward scored in the penultimate qualifying game against the Central African Republic, his first for the West Africans, as Ghana cruised to a thumping 5-0 victory. The Black Stars completed a magnificent run in the qualifiers with a 1-0 win over Comoros.Sulemana, 23, will be 24 at the 2026 World Cup in North America and it will be his second tournament at the global stage.According to the former Southampton attacker the World Cup is the biggest competition in the world and he looks forward to playing at the tournament again."The World Cup is the most important competition and it's crazy to have the opportunity to play it twice at my age," he told Gazetta dello Sport.Sulemana is enjoying a good start to his career in Italy, having scored two goals in six games for the 2004 Europa League winners.He joined the Italians in the summer transfer window from Southampton.
