On a wet and rainy evening in the Hessen state, Manuel Neuer made more history by equalling Thomas Müller’s record of the most wins (362) by a player in the Bundesliga.
While the 39-year-old shot-stopper wasn’t asked about achieving the feat in his post-match interview with Sky Germany, he described his take on the 3-0 win against Eintracht Frankfurt.
“It was a confident away win. We did very well with and without the ball today, pressing, box defending, control of the ball.
“We also had good counters in the second half and managed to score the third goal from one of them. We feel the automatisms are getting better and every player knows their role.
“But of course there are always things we can do better. It’s always about looking forward and preparing for the next game,” Neuer said.
The German goalkeeper will get the chance to make it a record-breaking tally of 363 Bundesliga wins after the international break when Bayern host Borussia Dortmund.
