Pafos FC vs Bayern Munich Champions League preview: Team news and predicted lineups

Having won all eight of their games so far this season across all competitions, Bayern Munich will be determined to extend their impressive streak when they visit Cypriotic side Pafos FC in their second Champions League game this season on Tuesday.

Fresh off a dominant 4-0 Bundesliga victory over Werder Bremen, the German champions head into the clash as heavy favorites.

Harry Kane will certainly be hard to stop in his current form, with the England captain having found the net 15 times in just eight games this season following his brace against Werder.

Pafos can take heart from the fact that they’re unbeaten in their last four, as their 0-0 draw with Olympiacos in their Champions League opener has been followed by three domestic wins.

It’s clear, however, that Tuesday’s opponents are of a different calibre, and anything less than three points for the visitors would be a major surprise.

Pafos will be without Brazilian defender Bruno, who is suspended after seeing red against Olympiacos.

Alphonso Davies (knee), Hiroki Ito (foot), Jamal Musiala (ankle), Josip Stanišić (knee), and Jonas Urbig (groin) are still out for Bayern.

Quick take: Match context: momentum and small details could decide this one, especially set-pieces and transitions. Form and fitness will matter; expect managers to rotate carefully around the congested schedule. Continental stakes raise the intensity, where away goals no longer apply but margins still feel razor thin. We’ll keep an eye on confirmed details as the story develops from official sources.
