Bayern Munich have had to manage without Alphonso Davies, Hiroki Ito and Jamal Musiala so far this season, with the trio sidelined due to long-term injuries.
Although a return to action isn’t immediately around the corner for any of them, Bayern board member for sport Max Eberl remains hopeful that all three will be able to play again before the end of the year.
“We have the sincere hope that all three will be able to be on the pitch again this year,” Eberl told Sky Germany.
Davies has been out since March after suffering a cruciate ligament tear while playing for Canada.
Ito has also been sidelined since March due to a metatarsal fracture, while Musiala broke his fibula during the Club World Cup in the summer.
Quick take: Injury outlook: depth players may get minutes, but the knock could strain the side’s rhythm. Recovery timelines will guide expectations; international duty could also be impacted. We’ll keep an eye on confirmed details as the story develops from official sources.
