Frankfurt’s next jackpot? Crazy internal pricetag for Can Uzun revealed

Frankfurt’s next jackpot? Crazy internal pricetag for Can Uzun revealed

Can Uzun has emerged as one of the standout performers this season. Across the first five matches of the season, the Eintracht Frankfurt attacking midfielder netted four times and delivered three assists, managing to register at least one goal contribution in every outing.

Such form is expected to put the 19-year-old on the radar of leading international clubs. Could SGE be preparing for another transfer exceeding €70 million, following the transfers of Omar Marmoush, Hugo Ekitiké, and Randal Kolo Muani?

“BILD” reports that Uzun already carries an internal valuation of about €80 million. Coach Dino Toppmöller commented:

“He is certainly very, very interesting for one or two teams that have already set their sights on him. But we’re going to keep him here for now. And then we’ll have a lot of fun with him. He knows that soccer sometimes means work. At the moment, he’s on the right track.”

The youngster signed a deal with the Hessian club last summer, binding him until 2029. The current strategy is not to let their star leave as early as next year. According to reports, Uzun is expected to stay with the Eagles until at least 2027 while continuing his progression. His debut campaign was uneven after arriving from 1. FC Nürnberg in 2024 for €11 million.

Sporting director Markus Krösche also emphasized that the Turkish international is progressing well: “Can’s development is outstanding,” said the Frankfurt manager. Uzun’s current market value, according to Transfermarkt, is set at €18 million – €62 million less than the internal valuation!

His rise is far from accidental: Over the summer, he added extra training sessions and adapted his nutrition following a detailed blood analysis. The midfielder explained: “I set myself high standards last season and was unable to meet them. That’s why I trained hard, listened, and kept going. Let’s hope it continues like this.”

Quick take: Big picture: the update fits broader trends across the league with schedule pressure and tight tables. Supporters will watch for clarity from training ground reports and official briefings. We’ll keep an eye on confirmed details as the story develops from official sources.
