Paris Saint-Germain pair Ousmane Dembele and Désiré Doue are “continuing to receive treatment” as the Champions League holders prepare for the start of their title defence.
PSG host Atalanta on Wednesday as they begin their campaign to retain the trophy they won for the first time last season.
Dembele and Doue were critical to that triumph, the latter scoring twice in a Man of the Match performance in PSG’s 5-0 demolition of Inter Milan in the final.
But both Dembele (hamstring) and Doue (calf) suffered injuries while on international duty with France, with neither player expected to return until next month and PSG left furious by the usage of the duo by the national team.
PSG provided an update on Tuesday that indicated neither player is making progress that would bring them back into fold in the more immediate future.
Additionally, the club said that defender Lucas Beraldo, who sprained his ankle in the win over Lens last weekend, “remains on the treatment table”.
