With the Stadio Meazza in San Siro unavailable for the 2026 Winter Olympics opening ceremony, the upcoming Serie A clash between Milan and Como has been postponed to February 18.
Only nine Serie A matches will be played this weekend as Milan-Como has been moved to a later date this month due to the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympics.
The event will be staged at the Stadio Meazza in San Siro today, Friday, February 6, from 20:00 CET (19:00 GMT).
Preparations for the ceremony made the stadium unavailable for the entire week, so Inter already played a Coppa Italia game against Torino at Monza just a few days ago.
On the other hand, the Serie A Round 24 match between Milan and Como has been postponed to February 18 at 20:45 CET.
Lega Serie A confirmed the date and kick-off time for the rescheduled fixture last week.
Lega Serie A, along with Milan and Como, had initially agreed to stage the match this weekend in Perth, Australia. However, after months of negotiations, the plan was officially abandoned at the end of 2025.
“The additional onerous conditions imposed by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) to authorise the match could not be met without financial risk to the Western Australian government and the Serie A Football League,” Lega Serie A explained.
